Baltazar Molina started his musical journey
with classical guitar and a few years later
he met the Darbuka and the Arab music world.
From then on he became an autodidact, mainly interested in classical
Egyptian, Indian, Turkish and Iranian music, especially the connection
between Music and the Sacred, much present in these cultures.
Currently, his main focus are the Frame Drums
and their acoustic, energetic and therapeutic properties
and also sound research and experimentation
with percussion, electric guitars and effects.
Presently, besides his solo presentations,
he's been teaching Arab percussion and also participating in
the Raks Sharki context in Portugal, through teaching and performing.
He created and produces Ciclos Al Mah, together with Iris Lican.
